HEADSTAND CHALLENGE - Strengthen your shoulders back and core with this challenge

Join me for this Headstand Challenge!! Sirsasana is a great core strengthener, great for strengthening your shoulders and back as well! Inversions are said to be the fountain of youth poses, bringing an increase of blood to your face is said to help with wrinkles and cognitive function! Not sure about you but I'm in LOL!!! Headstands can stimulate and provide refreshed blood to the pituitary and hypothalamus glands. These glands are vital to our wellbeing, and are considered the master glands that regulate all other glands in the body (thyroid, pineal, and adrenals). Once those adrenal glands are optimized with headstands, we can create more positive thought. The adrenals are chiefly responsible for releasing hormones in response to stress, and overworked adrenals can lead to irritability, inability to concentrate, insomnia, nervousness, and even depression. Do what you can stop when your fatigued or unable to maintan pressure in your arms. If you find it easy increase the time if you found it challenging do what you can and practice a couple of times each week with this video! SIDE PLANK CHALLENGE - Give your core muscles a work out with these versions of side plank!

Join me as we move thru the different versions of side plank (Vasisthasana). All the while strengthening the deep core muscles that run up and down the spine, and especially our abdominal muscles such as the transverse abdominis and the obliques. This is a full body strengthener, it will work your arms, your wrists, shoulders, hips, thighs and your entire core!! If you want abs of steel, side plank is where it's at!! The goal is to keep the hips from drooping, to keep a straight line from the shoulders to the edge of your foot. Side Plank also strengthens the deep muscles of your low back, so it can help with lower-back pain. If you're not able to hold a full side plank just yet, it's easy to modify: Instead of stacking your feet, lower your top foot to the ground in front of the bottom foot, creating a wider base to balance on. You can also set the knee closest to the floor on the ground. Since this exercise builds muscle, it also burns calories. This, in turn, helps to also burn fat. Do what you can stop when you need to take a break, keep your breath steady and smooth, if you no longer can breath thru your nose it's time to rest! Try doing this workout a couple days a week and begin to see a huge change in your body! Let me know in the comments down below what you thought and which ones you struggled with : ).
